Could Homeownership Be Within Reach? 🏡

Marshall County residents can now complete one application to be considered for affordable housing programs offered through the Regional Housing Collaborative in partnership with Intend Indiana and the Edge Fund.

HomePower helps eligible low- to moderate-income residents purchase an owner-occupied, single-family home in Marshall County. The program combines an eligible conventional first mortgage with a low-interest second mortgage that can cover at least 20% of the home’s purchase price.

Potential benefits include:

Increased home-buying power
A 2% fixed interest rate on the HomePower second mortgage
No private mortgage insurance
No down payment or closing costs

Eligibility requirements apply, and funding is limited. Completing an application does not guarantee qualification or the availability of program funds.

We know this time of year can bring financial stress for many. Here are our top tips to help alleviate some of that unneeded stress.

Tip #1 in our Budgeting for the Holidays series is ----- Make a Budget & Plan to Achieve It! 💸 We've included a free budget sheet in the comments to help.

How to use the form:

1️⃣ Find the amount you can spend & what ways you will save for the overall budget.
2️⃣ Break down your budget into gifts, food, gas & extras.
3️⃣Create a list of everyone you plan to purchase a gift for.
4️⃣ Assign a $ amount for each person.
5️⃣ Use the form to monitor your progress as you purchase gifts, food or gas.

Christmas applications are AVAILABLE. ❄️🎄🎅🏻☃🎁

Applications must be filled out at the center, for your household only and turned in by November 13 for consideration.

If you are not a current client of the Marshall County Neighborhood Center, and want to apply, you will need to bring proof of address for each person in your household, including children.

We ask that clients apply at only one agency for Christmas help, as we work with the local school systems, Shop with a Cop and Toys for Tots to make sure as many people as possible can be helped this season.
