PDC Like Page
This like page is for anyone interested in the activities and communications of the Plymouth Democratic Club. This is a public page. That means that anyone can see what has been posted. Only group members can post and all posts require moderator approval before posting. Please follow these guidelines when posting in this group. Any posts not following these guidelines will not be app
roved and/or may be removed.
- Stay on topic. This group is for sharing information that aligns with our stated mission and associated goals and ideals. Please only share and post items that relate to the Democratic platform.
- Limit the length of your post. General guideline: Keep posts to under 150 words. If you have a lot more than that to say, consider linking your own blog or public posts on your personal page.
- Limit the frequency of your posts. While we encourage broad participation from everyone, please be aware that it is possible to post too often. Remember, this isn’t Twitter, so please don’t commandeer our group/page.
- When posting a link, include a comment about the content. If you share a link, tell everyone why they should read it. This helps people decide whether or not that link is useful for them, and also helps if someone is searching for that content later.
- Please hashtag your post when possible. Hashtagging makes it a lot easier to search and see if a thread has already come up on a particular topic. It also makes it easier for members of the group to find what’s most useful to them.
- Look before you post: Has someone already posted this in the group? Before posting, check to see if someone else has already posted the same thing (try the "Search this Group" field; it's quick and easy!)
- Fact check. If you're posting a news item, either link to a reputable source or cite your personal source. And if it's a parody or satire article, e.g., The Onion or an opinion piece, be sure to specify that in your post.
- Make calls to action clear. If you're calling on the group to attend an event, make calls, otherwise DO something, make the requested action clear in the text of your post.
- Keep it civil. There are certainly plenty of things to get passionate about, but let's keep it civil. No obscenities, profanities, explicit content, illegal activities, or any language that is derogatory towards others. If you're wondering if your post, comment, or language is "civil," it's probably best not to post it. Please also note that we abide by Facebook’s Community Standards, which you may review here: https://www.facebook.com/communitystandards
