The leadership, organization skills and volunteerism 78th District Candidate Nate Brown has already displayed within our community is simply amazing. One example below is our town soccer complex on Gear Avenue in our industrial park. As volunteer construction manager the complex came to fruition. I met yesterday at the site of the new all purpose / soccer field that is under construction in the business park. With me are Dennis Fowler who is representing the soccer club, Joe Green who is volunteering his time helping the project with the necessary engineering work and Nate Brown who is heading up the actual construction project. This project once complete will give the Town of Plymouth a state-of-the-art facility. Also, as a part of this project they will be the construction of a new and improved community garden that I am hoping will be ready for the spring planting. The project is making great progress and the only thing that will slow it down is weather, which as we all know is coming. Great job everyone and Thank You to everyone who is giving of their time.

Good morning everyone. Congratulations to the Terryville Lions Country Fair and all their wonderful staff and volunteers with their 78th successful season. A great time was had by all! Now that the fair has passed, the state and congressional level elections will soon be upon us and the temperatures will most likely heat up. Let's remember all those purple signs around town that say only one thing "Be Kind". Remember that the people you might take issue with may be life long friends, neighbors, family members, people you stand in line with at our IGA, at the soccer field, etc. We are a small town and see each other often. The old saying is "attack the issue, not the person". Let's all be kind and promote our candidates. Most importantly, we all need to have a say in government and with deciding our elected officials. Please get out and vote. Happy campaign trail!
