July 10, 2026
We hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Let's continue to celebrate the country we live in and the freedoms we share as we honor our veterans and continue to serve those who are serving us.
We couldn't do it without volunteers!
(This newsletter is a little late - we did pack on July 9th)
Our next monthly packing night is Thursday, August 13th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. EST at 17671 13th Road, Plymouth, IN. Everyone is welcome. There are always sit-down jobs, heavy lifting, and everything in between.
If you have a group that wants to volunteer at another time, contact Jan at [email protected] or 574-936-1424 to schedule. We appreciate everyone!
THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU
THANK YOU to the kids from CGC Youth Group that spent 2 hours here on a Saturday morning packing for the troops. (I thought I had enough supplies for several groups, but they made quick work of everything we had to pack) Their enthusiasm and work ethic was amazing!
We received 8 boxes of supplies and a very generous check from the students at Immanuel Lutheran School in Valparaiso, IN.
Everyone working together is what keeps the care packages going from Operation: Quiet Comfort.
Kenny and I had a table for people to write messages to the troops at our daughter's shop, The Treehouse Pie Company, in Sycamore, IL on July 3rd. It gave us the opportunity to spread the word about Operation: Quiet Comfort a little further.
PRAY for OUR TROOPS!
Our troops need all the prayers and good thoughts we can send. We send our heart felt gratitude to those serving and to the families supporting them. We honor our fallen heroes. (Reminder: We are a non-political organization.)

Our shipments have been smaller for the past few months because of the current mailing restrictions. We are continuing to ship where we can, and we have supplies ready to go whenever we receive active addresses.
