: Memorial Day Safety Tips from EMA Director Earl Cunningham

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend, let's also take a few moments to keep safety in mind while honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

🇺🇸 If you're traveling, buckle up, avoid distractions, and never drive impaired.
🇺🇸 If you're hosting a cookout, keep grills away from buildings and never leave them unattended.
🇺🇸 Stay hydrated and take breaks if spending extended time outdoors.
🇺🇸 Keep a close eye on children around roads, parking lots, and recreational areas.
🇺🇸 Be mindful of changing weather conditions and have a plan if storms develop.

Have a safe Memorial Day weekend, and take time to honor the heroes whose sacrifice secured our nation's freedom.
