Representative Jay DeBoyer sent out this message for wide distribution please read and welcome him to the governor race.
“Good Evening Delegates,
My name is Jay DeBoyer, and I am running to serve as your next Lieutenant Governor alongside John James.
Thank you for fulfilling your elected duty and showing up for your county convention tonight. I’m sorry I can’t be there with you in person, but it was important to me that you hear directly from me.
I’ve spent my career serving the people of Michigan and fighting to make government work for YOU.
I served as the Clerk and Register of Deeds for St. Clair County, and today, I serve as a State Representative and Chair of the House Oversight Committee. In that role, I work every day to hold Democrats in Lansing accountable, root out waste, and make sure YOUR tax dollars are working for YOU.
That’s the same accountability John James and I will bring to the Governor’s office in November.
John is a combat veteran, a job creator, and a proven leader who has spent his life answering the call to serve. I’m grateful he has placed his trust in me to join him in this fight, and I’m ready to get to work.
Michigan cannot afford four more years of the status quo, and we certainly cannot afford socialism.
Together, John and I will reverse Michigan’s decline and get our state back on track. We’ll make our streets safe, get our kids reading, root out waste, fraud, and abuse, cut your taxes, lower costs, and bring jobs and opportunity back home to Michigan. With the right leadership, Michigan can once again be the best place in America to start a family, start a business, and build a future.
We need a Republican ticket of proven leaders ready to fight for common sense, defeat socialism, and get our state back on track. John and I have the experience, the record, and the resolve to deliver the change Michigan needs and win in November.
