Massachusetts health insurers have proposed an average rate hike of 12.9% for 2027 with one asking for a 26% increase. Insurers last year sought an average rate hike of 13.4%.

Your taxes are going up the max 2.5% each year with no excess levy capacity… please watch Lynn Barrett’s comprehensive budget update which starts at 35min in…. At some point we have to realize that an audit and a comprehensive scrub of the budget is the only way to prevent going off the fiscal cliff… I will post the most important slide in the comments which shows our anticipated budget deficit by year.

Good news/Bad news…. Good news is I’m done blowing up your FB/IG feeds until next spring 🤣

Bad news we did not carry the day… but 2574 citizens of our town felt I was the best choice and I am both very grateful and proud of that…

Like they say 3rd time is a charm…. So we try again next year 🤣 hopefully we don’t go off the fiscal cliff before then….
