Known by the locals as "The Hamel V", the Heinzen-Ditter Post is named after 2nd Lt. Heinzen - U.S. Army Air Corps and Lt. Anthony J. Ditter - U.S. Open on certain days and nights for public events. ing services:
-Sponsors a variety of local athletic teams and scouting events.
-Provides scholarships for area stduents. -Visits veterans in area nursing homes and at the Mpls Veterans Home.
-Lends assistance to famillies of veterans and area people who are sick or in need.
-Provides a loan shelf of medical supplies for Veterans and their families in need.
-Retires worn US Flags from anyone who needs to have their flag retired.
-Provides a local venue for all who need a place to gather.
-Assist in many other community events or with community needs. The Honor Guard has provided countless Honors from Rogers, Fridley, Delano, Long Lake, Corcoran, Greenfield, Maple Lake, Maple Grove, Loretto and places in between.
