It's that time again! Breakfast with a Forester will held this coming Tuesday June 16 at 8:00, at Christo's Family Restaurant in Plymouth. Do you own some wooded acreage? Do you know someone who does and has been wondering how to manage them? Maybe it's time for a harvest, or maybe there are some invasive plants that need to be removed. How about lowering your taxes on that acreage? You can ask a DNR forester and conservation professionals how to start a management plan to keep your wooded acres healthy and profitable. Brought to you by the Arrow Head RC & D Forestry committee. 🌲🌳🌲🌳🌲🌳🌲🌳🌲

WoWZA!!! This picture was taken early, before ALL the people arrived.... we haven't heard official numbers yet, but the theater was nearly "standing room only" last night for the screening of The Everglades of the North. We'd like to thank members of the community for coming out to support our conservation movie series. Join us next month at the showing of Kiss the Ground, a movie about conservation farming! 🌽🚜🐄 Have a great Memorial Day weekend! 🇺🇸

Thanks to our partners on the city flower and tree committee for working hard this morning! We are trying something different this year, using tough native perennials with long bloom times and benefits for pollinators. We added a few annuals for continuous color and in the center are native prairie grasses. Look for black eyed Susan’s, purple coneflower, butterfly w**d, asters, beardstongue, switchgrass and bluestem. We appreciate the support and enthusiasm from the mayor and downtown merchants! 🐝🦋

A public service announcement from our hero Doug Tallemy….. stop spraying insecticides for mosquitos! So much damage is being done to beneficial pollinators and other insects. There are other ways to control these pests, while they are larvae in standing water. Read on….
