French Regional Park Located along the northern shore of Medicine Lake, French Regional Park offers 337 acres of outdoor recreation opportunities.

French Regional Park offers year-round recreational opportunities within 337 acres of park land and 2 miles of shoreline along Medicine Lake. Amenities include paved and turf trails, access to the Medicine Lake Regional Trail, swimming, fishing, picnic grounds, a large creative play area, public boat launch, lighted cross-country skiing, sliding hill, and a variety of recreation programs.

We can't believe that there's only a week until the biggest shell-ebration of the year: Turtle Fest, right here at French Park! 🐢

Join experts and the community to learn about and celebrate turtles! Meet live turtles, see them in their natural habitats, connect with organizations specializing in turtles, hop in a boat to see them from the water, take part in creative turtle-themed projects and more.

🛶Boat Rental: 11am–7pm weekends and holidays; 11am–7pm daily starting June 5*
🐠 Swimming Beach: 9am–8pm daily; unguarded*
🍦Visitor Center: 9am–8pm daily
🛝 Play Area: 9am–sunset daily
🌳Park Hours: 5am–10pm daily

It's a rainy and cool spring day, which feels like a fitting end to our Signs of Spring series. We hope you enjoyed following along with all the changes in the park, and though this series might be done, there are still plenty of places to explore along the trails.

If you've stopped by the park, you might notice our prairie areas look a little different!

Each spring, Three Rivers' Natural Resources Management conducts prescribed burns in various parks, helping control invasive species, increase native plant growth and improve quality wildlife habitat.

Though the ground looks charred and black now, new plants will soon start to push through - and stay tuned right here over the next few weeks as we share the progress.
