Extension Homemakers sewing and mending prison uniforms for the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.

The Randolph County Extension Homemakers Attica Club has been hard at work serving our community! 🧵

These dedicated members volunteered 87 hours to mend, hem, and patch 72 prisoner uniforms for the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office—saving the county more than $1,656.

Their attention to detail and commitment to quality ensure each uniform is ready for continued use. This project is a great example of how Extension Homemakers use their skills to make a real difference locally.

The Attica Club looks forward to continuing its partnership with the Sheriff’s Office, assisting with both prisoner and officer uniform repairs, as well as other needs in the future.

Thank you to these hardworking volunteers for their time, talent, and dedication to Randolph County!

On Tuesday, 25 participants from the Randolph and Lawrence County Drug Court took part in a nutrition and wellness program focused on building healthier lifestyles!

During Lesson 1 on MyPlate, participants learned how to create nutritious meals using all five food groups, explored ways to increase physical activity, and picked up helpful grocery shopping tips to stretch their food dollars. The class also featured a hands-on skillet meal demonstration using simple, affordable ingredients.

Programs like this help individuals gain practical skills to support long-term health and wellness.
