The Pocahontas Redskin Shooting Team recently had both a Junior High team and a Senior High team qualify for the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports (YSS) State Tournament. This tournament brings together teams from all classifications across the state, allowing students to compete against the best shooters in Arkansas regardless of school size.

The Senior High team posted a score of 104 out of 125 in the opening round, falling to Westside, which went on to finish 6th overall in the tournament.

The Junior High team scored a 108 out of 125 in the first round to advance and followed with a 95 out of 125 in the second round. Their performance earned them a finish among the top 32 teams in the state.

We are proud of our student-athletes and the hard work they put in throughout the season while representing Pocahontas with pride.

πŸ“š PJHS Yearbook Update πŸ“š

Mrs. Endsley would like to share an important update regarding the 2025–2026 PJHS Yearbooks.

Due to unexpected delays in final production and shipping, yearbooks are expected to arrive sometime after June 1.

Once the yearbooks arrive at the school, Mrs. Endsley will personally contact everyone who ordered a yearbook with pickup information.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we await their arrival and look forward to getting these books into students' hands as soon as possible.

We are proud to recognize students who were recently honored and presented at the Board of Education meeting!

Our FFA students were recognized for their hard work and accomplishments, while EAST students showcased an incredible communication board they designed and printed in partnership with our SPED department.

These projects and achievements are a great example of students using leadership, creativity, and collaboration to make a meaningful impact in our schools and community. Great things are happening at Pocahontas!
