AEDs Saves Lives-Every Minute Matters

When a person experiences sudden cardiac arrest, every second counts. An Automated External Defibulator (AED) is a life-saving device that can help restore a normal heart rhythm and significantly increase the chance of survival when used quickly. Knowing where AEDs are located in your workplace, school, church, or community can make a life-saving difference.

June is CPR & AED Awareness Month

Knowing how to perform CPR and how to use an AED can help you take action when it matters most. These simple skills can make a life-saving difference for someone in your family, workplace, school, or community.

Pocahontas County Health Care Coalition encourages everyone to take time to learn CPR and become familiar with AEDs in your community. Being prepared means you can step in and help during an emergency until professional responders arrive.

If you have ever thought about learning CPR, this is the perfect time to do it. Together we can build a community that is ready to help one another when it matters most.

Contact Jessica Behrends, RRT, PM-CCP, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital, 712-335-8084, to inquire about CPR training.
