We have a few spots open on our Bear River kayaking trip scheduled for Friday, 8/14! Enjoy a scenic five-mile float in Soda Springs. We provide transportation and all equipment. You must have some kayaking experience to participate in this one.

Our outdoor rec crew will be working on chipping branches tomorrow along City Creek road. Vehicles will not be able to pass during this time. We plan to start at 8am and will likely be done before noon. Please do not drive beyond the bridge 10 pullout after 8am tomorrow. There will be signage in place.

There are some changes happening around Bridge 11 in City Creek! Our volunteers have been working on a few projects to reduce erosion entering the creek and to make the area more inviting.

We've installed new fencing to promote vegetation regrowth and added a few water diversion bars on the parking lot side of the bridge. With the help of volunteers from Idaho Trails Association and our own crew, we also rerouted the connector from the bridge to Serengeti and will open that trail section once we fine-tune the turns. We've brushed in some creek access points and will eventually close redundant trail sections.

Additionally, generously sent out a crew and materials to install rock work on both ends of the bridges. A huge thank you to their JC and his crew!

Finally, we created more shade for two picnic tables in the area and have a portapotty onsite through the end of October.

We hope these changes will improve stream health and add to the user experience in City Creek!
