2018 Elections Information

November 6th, 2018 General Election

*EARLY VOTING:

The Bannock County Elections Office will begin Early Walk-In Voting for the November 6th General Election on Monday, September 24th. Voting will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Bannock County Elections Office located at 141 N. 6th Ave.

*BALLOT BY MAIL:

If you would like a ballot mailed to you please make the request in writing. Be sure to include your name, address, mailing address if applicable and don’t forget to personally sign your request. Those requests can be walked into the Elections Office, faxed to 208-236-7424, scanned and emailed to [email protected] or mailed to P.O. Box 4489, Pocatello, ID 83205. Your voted ballot must be returned to the Elections Office before Tuesday, November 6th at 8:00pm. The voted ballot can be walked into the Elections Office or mailed.

*LAST DAY TO REQUEST A BALLOT BY MAIL:

Friday, October 26th before 5:00pm

*LAST DAY TO VOTE EARLY:

Friday, November 2nd, until 5:00pm

*REGISTRATION:

Online registration is available with a valid Idaho State Driver’s license at idahovotes.gov. You can register to vote in person at 141 N. 6th Ave or mail a completed voter registration card to P.O. Box 4489, Pocatello, ID 83205. Election Day Registration is also available on Election Day.

*LAST DAY TO PRE-REGISTER:

Friday, October 12th until 5:00pm

MAY 15th PRIMARY ELECTION

March 9th, Last day for an elector currently registered by party to change party affiliation or become “Unaffiliated” by filing a signed form with the County Clerk’s Elections Office for the Primary Election.

March 9th, Last day for filing declarations of candidacy until 5:00 p.m. for candidates, including independents, with the Secretary of State or County Clerk’s Elections Office for the Primary (MAY 15th) and General (NOVEMBER 6th ) Elections.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: Information regarding the bond for the Bannock County Jail Expansion and Behavioral Care Center

POCATELLO – The public is invited to attend an announcement regarding the bond for the Bannock County Jail Expansion and Behavioral Care Center at the main pavilion of the Portneuf Wellness Complex in Pocatello on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:00am.

Comments will be offered by Ken Bullock, Bannock County Commission, Chair, Brian Blad, Mayor, City of Pocatello, and Shaun Menchaca, President and Chief Executive Officer of Portneuf Health Trust.
