Pocono Mountain Regional Police Officers Association

Pocono Mountain Regional Police Officers Association The Pocono Mountain Regional Police Officers Association(PMRPOA) was created in 1994 when the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department was founded.

The PMPOA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The PMRPOA is made up of all full-time police officers. The PMRPOA is a labor organization, which engages in contract negotiations periodically with the the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Commission. The PMRPOA supports many charitable organizations in our community throughout the year. Each year the PMRPOA supports local children that are seeking

medical treatment for serious illness. We provide financial support to the child and their family, so the child has proper transportation and receives the proper medical treatment. Members also raise money to support children in our community by donating part of their paychecks to a No-Shave November fundraiser. Additionally, PMRPOA purchases and delivers meals to families during the holidays who do not have the financial means. We also provide support to many local organizations that help veterans and low income families. Furthermore, we sponsor many school activities in the Pocono Mountain School District. We support the school store, which is a PRIDE program within the school district that helps build and promote a safe and positive environment in which all student can learn. We also provide athletics with drinks and ice-cream during sports practices. Members of the PMRPOA believe this creates a positive relationship between police and the community that we serve. In order to continue our mission, we have an annual golf tournament which helps the association raise much needed funds. Thank you for supporting the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Officers Association.

We would like to thank the Commonwealth Charter Academy for stepping up and being a great community member. They purchased lunch for the members of the Search and Rescue team and Law Enforcement who were involved in searching for Matthew Thompson in the Mount Pocono area. The sandwiches were make by Gotta Go Grab 'N Go Deli. Great sandwiches. CCA, Gotta Go Grab N Go Deli

Today, the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Officers Association presented a check to this amazing family. Each officer participated in ” No-Shave November.” The officer then donates money to this fundraiser, and all money raised went to this family to help with the child’s medical expenses. This year, Scotty Spreads Joy Inc, a non-profit organization, matched the money the officers raised. https://www.facebook.com/jason.wile.3

Each year, members/officers of the PMRPOA donate money to help a sick child in our community.

Best wishes to this great family!!!!!

What a great night!!!!!!!!!!!! Members of the PMRPOA, Murray's Towing, and Santa delivered Christmas gifts to five wonderful children who were thrilled to see Santa and get some presents. Each child and mom opened some gifts while we were there, and the rest were put under the Christmas tree to be opened Christmas morning. (The garbage bags were filled with tons of gifts) AMAZING NIGHT!!!!!

We want to thank Geno and Robin from Murray's Towing. They went beyond anyone's imagination. Their support was key in providing these children with joy during the holidays. A huge THANK YOU!!!!! Murray's Towing

Lastly, the community. Just one word…. WOW. You are amazing. A large number of community members dropped off gift cards, cash, and presents for the mother at our police department. The generosity was absolutely amazing. I met with many of you when you stopped in, but if I didn’t meet with you, Thank You!!!!

Thank you to Santa for bringing joy and a smile to each of us.

I spoke with the mother of this family, and she is overwhelmed with emotion and joy for all the support the community has given her and her children.

From all the members of the PMRPOA, we appreciate the support and wish everyone a great holiday and an amazing new year.
