Today we pay honor to the men and women who bravely answered the call to duty and selflessly died in defending freedom. The Poestenkill Democratic Committee laid a wreath during the annual ceremony held by the Sullivan Jones VFW Post 7466 this morning following the town parade.

Did you just get one of these in the mail for someone who no longer lives at your address? Don’t throw it out!!! Instead, write Return to Sender and put it back in the mailbox. The card will be retuned to the Board of Elections. This action helps clean up the voting roles.

It’s hard to believe that in the 21st century, County Legislature meetings are not streamed. Mary Frances Sabo, our legislator from District 2, is trying to change that. There is an open public comment session tonight - May 6 at 6pm - at the County’s offices at 99 Troy Rd.

I am introducing a resolution to require the county to contract to livestream its meetings and public forums. Please come Wednesday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m. to speak in favor!
