Proudly Serving the Town of Poestenkill Residents & Visitors Since 1920 Our main firehouse rests in the hamlet of the town while a smaller second firehouse sits up on the mountain. The surrounding area is predominantly agricultural/rural/residential with some local businesses. Our membership is limited to our

local residents who do this on a volunteer basis. Of the approximately 45 active members, a hand full are trained EMT's (emergency medical technicians) and/or water rescue technicians. Our members respond to a variety of calls ranging from public service calls to structural fires. The majority of calls responded to are medical or MVA (motor vehicle accidents) in nature.
