The Pride Flag is flying at Point Arena City Hall.

As a small coastal community, Point Arena has long been a place where people from different backgrounds come together, support one another, and call this beautiful corner of the coast home.

During Pride Month, we celebrate our LGBTQ+ residents, neighbors, visitors, friends, and family members who help make our community stronger. Flying the Pride Flag reflects our belief that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and welcome here.

From the bluffs to Main Street, Point Arena is a community where everyone belongs. ❤️🌊

Second annual PA Clean Up Day.
Well done everyone.

We acknowledge that informing the public somewhat failed this year, but we learn as we go. We sure do appreciate your understanding.

We had a great helping crew! Thank you Patrick, Chris, Ed for loading the trash (stinky, heavy, and potentially dangerous work).

Ed, thank you for bringing your personal backhoe so we could cram more into the bins.

And thank you to those that brought us refreshments and for your gratitude for this service that The City of PA and Redwood Waste provides.

We certainly look forward to next year. See you in 2027.

📢 Point Arena Cleanup Day Mailer Failure 📢

We want to let our community know that the company mailing the vouchers ran into an issue. Unfortunately many residents did not receive the notice. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

If you didn't hear about it, Point Arena Cleanup Day is happening tomorrow, June 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Mendocino County Yard on Eureka Hill Road in Point Arena.

✅ Please bring 1 proof of your residential address, no PO Box... Examples such as:
• Driver's license or ID with your residential address
• Utility bill with your residential address
• Other document showing your Point Arena residential address

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through this mailing issue. We hope everything goes more smoothly next year.

🚨 VANDALISM AT POINT ARENA DOWNTOWN BATHROOMS 🚨

🚫 The Downtown Bathrooms are CLOSED until further notice.

Over the past several weeks, the facility has been vandalized almost daily. Incidents have included:

🔒 Breaking into locked storage areas
🚻 Using a restroom that is out of service
❌ Defecating on the floor
🔧 Damaging sinks and plumbing fixtures
🧻 Smearing f***s on walls and surfaces

This behavior is unacceptable and has a direct impact on our community.

💰 The cost of operating and repairing these bathrooms is paid for by the Point Arena community through business license fees and Transient Occupancy Taxes (TOT). Every dollar spent repairing vandalism is a dollar that cannot be spent on:

🌳 Parks and public spaces
👷 Improved City services and staffing
🏖️ Public facility maintenance and improvements

As one example, repairing the shower at the Pier took months and cost approximately $3,000.

📸 If you witness or suspect vandalism:

1️⃣ Take photos if it is safe to do so.
2️⃣ Write down details, descriptions, and vehicle information.
3️⃣ Call Mendocino County Dispatch immediately: (707) 463-4086.
4️⃣ After reporting to Dispatch, email any information to: [email protected]

🤝 We need the community's help to protect public facilities for residents and visitors alike.

The City of Point Arena will host its annual Community Clean-Up Day on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Mendocino County Yard, 43401 Eureka Hill Road.

This is your opportunity to dispose of unwanted household junk, furniture, and clutter — free of charge!

📍 For City of Point Arena residents only
Please bring:
• The voucher mailed to you by Redwood Waste Solutions or
• A City utility bill showing your name and address
• A valid photo ID

🗑️ Accepted Items
• Bulky household trash
• Furniture
• Appliances
• TVs, monitors, and computers (please place separately in the designated E-Waste container)

🚫 Not Accepted
• Green waste
• Paint, chemicals, or other hazardous materials

📦 How Much Can I Bring?
