Last night members of and held our monthly department drill at to train on vertical ventilation using their live fire roof prop. Members are able to experience realistic, but controlled hazardous conditions while cutting holes in a roof. Vertical ventilation is a standard operating procedure used to alleviate heat and smoke buildup in an active fire. Thank you to the instructors and Monmouth Fire Academy for hosting The Beach

A big thank you to Douglas Murray for coming by Station 43 to capture some of the faces of our volunteer firefighters and line officers. Some of these photos will be featured in town hall in a limited time exhibit, portraying some of the hardworking men and women that make our town so special. Be sure to see the exhibit - “Hometown Heroes of Point Pleasant Beach” located in Borough of Point Pleasant Beach Town Hall beginning later this month into February.
