Happy Birthday, Point Pleasant Beach! Today we celebrate 140 years of community and history.

On June 2, 1886, the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach was officially established. Its story began much earlier, when Henry Hudson's crew sailed past the shoreline in 1609 and described it as "a pleasant Land to see," a phrase that helped inspire the community's name.
