JOB OPPORTUNITY

Assistant Director the Mason County Development Authority

Under direction of the Executive Director of the Mason County Development

Authority, this position is responsible for the strategic ex*****on and leadership to

implement an existing plan for the continued development of the economic goals

of the county. This position will oversee and manage the day-to-day programs

supporting the county economic development strategic plan and ensure

successful implementation of the plan.



The Assistant Economic Development Director will help lead efforts to implement

the County Master Plan and provide oversight and manage staff on the Retention

and Expansion program. Additionally, the individual will meet with interested

companies, businesses and developers and provide key community information

including but not limited to available sites and buildings, demographic data,

incentives, other county contact information and current and planned projects.

We at the MCDA are building a database of potential building sites or housing opportunities for those coming to the area. Our goal is to be able to provide a list of locations for the companies should they inquire about housing availability. With the upcoming construction of the new NUCOR plant, workers and their families will be needing a place to rest after a long day. Along with these folks, the area is expected to grow tremendously with other small businesses and employees. We are looking to our community to aid in providing housing to our new neighbors and their families.
