It is with deep regret and heavy hearts that the Officers and Members of the Point Pleasant Fire Company, alongside the Bucks County Department of Communications, announce the passing of Life Member, Past Chief, and veteran Dispatcher Ronald "Butch" Wood (Dispatcher 108), who passed away on May 5, 2026.
​"Butch" was a cornerstone of the Bucks County public safety community for decades. His transition from the fire line as Fire Chief to the dispatch center as "108" represented a lifetime of dedication to the protection of his neighbors. Whether he was commanding a scene or serving as the calm voice on the other end of the radio, his commitment to service was unwavering.

Today was our annual clean up day throughout it the firehouse, all members who attended worked all day to clean and tidy up all aspects of the bay and other areas. We have a wonderful group of volunteers to make this happen!

After a contractor struck and damaged a 1,000 gallon underground propane tank, our team worked with the Bucks County Special Operations team, Midway Volunteer Fire Company , Solebury Township Police, and the emergency response team from Meenan Propane to safely burn off the remaining product and then secure the leak.

Thank you to the contractor that remained on scene and assisted with the operation.

A big Thank you to the homeowner for the coffee and donuts and to Ashley at the Buckingham Wawa on 611/ Easton Road for working with us for lunch!!
