Today is a difficult day at Point Pleasant Fire Company.
Last night, we lost our brother, Justin Kling. There are no words that can fully express the sadness felt by his family, friends, and fellow firefighters.
Today, our members are gathered at the station doing what firefighters do. We are cleaning and preparing the apparatus so that we can assist with Justin’s final journey. It is a task none of us ever want to perform, but it is an honor we are proud to provide for one of our own.
Justin was more than a firefighter. He was a friend, a teammate, and a familiar face around the station. He answered calls when people needed help, stood beside us during difficult moments, and shared in the camaraderie that makes the fire service a family.
As we work together today, we are reminded that this fire company is built on volunteer service, sacrifice, and brotherhood. Those values are on display not only during emergencies, but also during moments of loss. Our members are here for Justin, for each other, and for his family, just as they are here for this community every day.
Please keep Justin’s family, friends, and all of our members in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
Rest easy, brother. We will take it from here.
