Mason County Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management This page will be used in official capacity for preparation, announcements and coordination. We are also joined by Mason County EMS in this facility.

Mason County WV initiated 911 service in 1995 and answered the very first 911 on January 2, 1996. The original location for Mason County 911 was a small two story school house that was built in 1885. The communication facility at that time held three dispatch positions and was less then one half the size of the current communications room inside the new facility. On September 11, 2006 ground was b

roken on a new emergency complex to house all communications, emergency management and emergency medical services for Mason County. On April 24, 2007 all emergency service functions moved to our new home in this facility. The new 1.5 million dollar facility provides full ADA compliant single story access to our complex. Dispatch services are held in a secure portion of the facility accessible only by ID Card access and protected by bullet resistant window glass. The EOC ( Emergency Operations Center ) is capable of supporting 24/7 services from this complex.
