🚒❄️ Help Us Help You ❄️🚒

After a snowfall, please take a few minutes to clear snow around the fire hydrant near your home or business. In an emergency, every second counts and a cleared hydrant helps firefighters get water flowing faster.

A good rule of thumb is to clear at least 3 feet around the hydrant and a path to the street.

Your small effort can make a big difference for your family, your neighbors, and our firefighters. Thank you for helping keep our community safe.

🚨🔥 CARBON MONOXIDE DANGERS 🔥🚨

Please use extra caution during and after snowfall when using any fuel-burning equipment. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that can be deadly.

Do not run vehicles inside a garage or enclosed area, even for a short time. Make sure snow is cleared away from vehicle exhaust pipes, as well as outside furnace and dryer vents.

Never run gas-powered generators, grills, or other fuel-burning equipment inside a home, garage, basement, or near windows, doors, or attached structures.

If your carbon monoxide alarm sounds, get everyone outside immediately and call 911.

Stay safe, and please check on neighbors, especially seniors and anyone living alone.

Yesterday afternoon Station 75’s R.I.T. Team responded to a commercial structure fire on Μantoloking Rd in Bricktown, NJ.

The Rapid Intervention Team is a specialiazed crew that stands by at all structure fires designed to find and rescue/assist downed, trapped, or disoriented fire fighters. On arrival they establish a staging area with an assortment of rescue equipment from saws, drag devices, rope, and even a breathing apparatus designed to give a fire fighter extra breathing air if he is low or replace the fire fighters Air Pak completely should it become comprimised. We are constantly surveying the fireground as the fire progresses and monitor all communications on the fire ground so we know where fire fighters are working and the condition of the structure. Our R.I.T. Team also assists in fireground operations by removing obstacles such as fences, doors, or gates that can slow fire fighters down, we provide emergency egress points such as ground ladders to windows should fire fighters have to evacuate quickly, as well as ensure hazardous utilities suchas gas and electric are secured. We take extreme pride in our R.I.T. Team and value all the hard work and additional training our members put into it.

A special thanks goes to Brick Township Fire Department and all the other municipalities that call on our team to provide this essential task.

Huge thank you to our residents who took the time to clear snow and ice from fire hydrants after the storm. Those few minutes can make a life-saving difference in an emergency by giving us immediate access to water when seconds count.

If you’re heading out to shovel, please take a moment to clear any hydrants near your home. A 3-foot clearance around the hydrant and a path to the street is ideal.

Community effort like this keeps everyone safer. We truly appreciate your help.
