Chief Alexander and the members of Point Boro EMS send our condolences to the friends and family of Neptune Township EMS Chief Bil Rosen.

A personal friend of Chief Alexander and many others in the emergency services community, Chief Rosen dedicated his life to his community, serving others through multiple roles in the EMS and Emergency Management fields. Bil was passionate about mental health and resiliency, and a strong advocate for continuing education for EMS providers, always encouraging those around him to grow and improve as well as nurturing and destigmatizing the judgment around mental health in the public safety profession.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Chief Rosen remember him not only as a respected leader but also as a loyal friend and mentor. There was always room for a dad joke when Bil was around, and the happiness he always brought to the room will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, Chief Rosen. You will be deeply missed.

Congratulations to Deputy Chief Blair for graduating from the National Honor Guard Academy training program. Deputy Chief Blair, also a member of Brick Township EMS/Rescue, was sponsored through their agency to attend this training as part of their newly formed Honor Guard.

Honor Guards provide one of the most visible and positive images for a department. Be it a parade, ground breaking event, sporting event or funeral, the presence alone of the honor guard immediately draws attention and raises the formality of the event.

Congratulations Deputy Chief Blair on this honorable achievement!

On Tuesday, Point Boro EMS along with other surrounding agencies helped es**rt Brick Township EMS/Rescue Chief Michael Botts home after receiving his last round of chemotherapy.

In December, Chief Michael Botts was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. Today he was able to ring the bell, surrounded by his family and first responder family. Point Boro EMS will continue to keep Chief Botts and his family in our thoughts and prayers and hope for a speedy recovery ahead.

Point Boro EMS would like to thank everyone who contributed to our annual coin toss yesterday. The spare change in your cup holder may not mean much, but your donations help our volunteer agency additional funds to operate and maintain our ambulances and equipment!

A special thank you to Kate from Dominos Pizza on Bridge Avenue for donating some pizzas to our volunteers during our coin toss!
