Your neighbors are the ones showing up when the tones drop at 2 a.m.
Your neighbors are the ones pulling someone out of a wrecked car on the way home from work.
And right nowโ€ฆ weโ€™re short on those heroes.
Weโ€™re actively looking for Volunteer Firefighters and Volunteer EMS personnel.

A lot of people think:
โ€œI have to live at the firehouseโ€
โ€œI need years of experienceโ€
โ€œItโ€™s a full-time jobโ€

๐—ก๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ฒ!

Hereโ€™s how it really works:
You get trained (we help cover the cost, if not all of it).
You carry a pager or get alerts on your phone.
When youโ€™re available, you respond from home or work โ€” just like so many of our current members already do.
You help your own community, learn life-saving skills, and become part of a tight-knit team that has your back.
No pressure. No commitment until youโ€™re ready.

The best way to understand it? Just pick up the phone and call us.
Weโ€™d love to chat about what it actually looks like for someone with your schedule and answer every question you have (no sales pitch โ€” promise).
๐Ÿ“ž Call: 419-945-2681
Leave a message for the chief and he will call you back. (He's a volunteer like most of the others so he's not in the office every day)

You might be surprised how much this fits into your lifeโ€ฆ and how good it feels to make a real difference where you live.
Whoโ€™s willing to step up for Polk and the surrounding communities?

Tag someone who would be awesome at this ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿš’ 2025 Year in Review ๐Ÿš’

The Polk Jackson Perry Fire District ended 2025 with 465 calls for service. This is fewer calls than in 2024, which is good news for our citizens and our community as a whole.

As we look ahead, we are excited for another great year of serving those who live in our district, assisting our mutual aid partners, and helping those who travel through our area.

We want to thank our citizens from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support this past year โ€” both financially and through the food and gifts dropped off at our station for our members. These small acts of kindness mean more than you know and remind us how fortunate we are to serve such a caring community. โค๏ธ

Thank you for your continued support!

Congratulations! to 2 of our members for obtaining fire and ems certifications.

Eleah Stadler: Eleah has successfully obtained her EMT-B certification. This is a minimum 150 hour course which covers the basics of emergency medical care. This certification is also required to transport patients in our squads.

Anthony Tobias: Anthony has successfully completed his Firefighter 1 course. This is a minimum 160 hr course which covers interior firefighting, fire ground operation, emergency vehicle operations, vehicle extrication and more.

As volunteers, this is a lot of personal time invested to get the certifications. Both members, with these certifications, will be a valuable asset to our community we serve.
