Pollocksville EMS Bio
We started as a small EMT-Basic emergency service squad in the early 1960’s. Through the notice of increased needs in our community for a quicker response, a few compassionate individuals came together to answer this need. Thus, Pollocksville Emergency Services was born. Since then, we have grown, struggled, and prospered. Today we operate at the EMT-Intermediate level, which is a advanced life support designated level of emergency care. We are a non-profit, volunteer service. We are constantly looking for more volunteers to help grow and provide better care for our community and to constantly achieve our mission statement. Our mission statement is: “To provide emergency medical services to the best of our ability, to save the lives and property of the community in which we serve, while promoting outstanding services to our community with moral and ethical volunteer members. These volunteers are willing to give their time freely to the good of our community. Our volunteers will be held to the highest standards and continue to be role models for our profession, our education, and our young citizens of this community.” If you are interested in volunteering even if you are not a licensed provider, please contact us, and we will help you obtain your license. Our current Chief is Warren Franks (EMT-I). And our Assistant Chief is Jeffrey Tumas (EMT-P).
