🌲❄️ Arbor Day… with a winter twist! ❄️🌲

Last Friday in Polson, we celebrated Arbor Day the only way Montana knows how — bundled up with snowflakes falling and spirits high!

Despite the cold, we had an incredible turnout. A big shoutout to Ms. Camel and her crew of 8th grade Polson Pirates who braved the weather and got their hands dirty planting **four new trees at the skate park**. You all were rockstars!

We’re also grateful to Delaney’s Landscaping for partnering with us — and for making the learning process fun and meaningful. Teaching the next generation why trees matter is what Arbor Day is all about.

It was great to see Mayor Dever, Commissioner Rehard, Tree Board Chair Jill Campbell, and members of our City team out there supporting the effort.

Snow or shine, this community shows up 🌱💚

Check out some highlights from the day below — including photos from the Mayor and a quick video capturing the action!

We’re proud to share some exciting news about our Chief of Police, George Simpson!

Chief Simpson has been selected for publication in the Spring 2026 issue of the FBI-LEEDA Insighter magazine—a national recognition of his leadership and expertise. His article highlights the importance of officer wellness programs and showcases the Polson Police Department’s commitment to supporting the health and resilience of our officers.

This is a big deal—not just for Chief Simpson, but for our entire community. His work is helping lead the conversation on officer wellness across the country.

Congratulations, Chief Simpson! 👏
