Montana residents age 55+ may soon receive an important survey in the mail called the Community Assessment Survey for Older Adults (CASOA), administered by POLCO.

🚨 THIS IS NOT A SCAM. 🚨

This survey is incredibly important because it helps identify the biggest needs, concerns, and priorities facing older adults across Montana. The information collected directly impacts services, programs, funding, and planning for Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) throughout the state.

Some residents were pre-selected and have already begun to receive the survey. Additional surveys will begin arriving starting June 5th.

If you receive one, please take the time to complete it. Your voice matters, and your feedback helps shape the future of aging services in our communities.

By participating, you are helping community leaders better understand:
✅ Housing needs
✅ Transportation challenges
✅ Access to healthcare
✅ Social connection and isolation
✅ Caregiver support
✅ Nutrition and wellness services
…and so much more.

Please help us spread the word and encourage participation. The more responses received, the better we can advocate for the needs of Montana’s older adults now and in the future.

Transportation Service Update 🚐💨

📅✏️Please note that transportation services will be temporarily paused on Tuesday, June 2nd from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM while our team participates in staff training to implement our new dispatch software.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working to provide the best service possible. Regular transportation services will resume after 12:30 PM.

Now that we’ve had a moment to catch our breath… we are still overwhelmed by the support shown at our Murder Mystery Fundraiser. ❤️

While we wait for the official event photos to come back, we wanted to share a few little moments captured throughout the evening and most importantly, say THANK YOUUU!

Watching this event come together and seeing so many people show up, laugh together, participate, donate, and support our mission was incredibly special. There were so many people who gave their time, energy, talents, and support to help make the night what it was, and we truly could not have done it without this community.

From the decorations and performances to the generosity and excitement throughout the night, it is a night we will never forget.

Thank you for supporting our agency and the individuals and families we serve every day. More photos and highlights to come soon. 🕵️✨

Meet **Jeri**

Jeri works in Admin and as a SHIP counselor and has been with WMAS for 1 and a half years.

✨ What inspired her to do this work:
“After retiring from 17 years as a Sr. Case Manager/Medicare for Kaiser Permanente in California, I missed being an advocate for seniors.”

✨ What she enjoys most:
“Providing options and resources, and sometimes solving client problems to make their life easier.”

💬 What she hopes clients feel:
“They have been listened to and feel kindness and compassion.”

💛 What “care” means to her:
“Listening with understanding, compassion, and patience.”

🌿 Fun fact:
“I’ve traveled to 10 countries and all but 6 states in the US.”

🌿 A little about Jeri:
She enjoys exercise, quilting, reading, and gardening in her free time.

Meet **Natosha**

Natosha is our Simply Home Care Program Coordinator for respite and homemaking services, and also leads all marketing and event planning for WMAS. She will be celebrating two years with WMAS this May!

✨ What inspired her to do this work:
“I was drawn to WMAS because of the transparency and authenticity of the organization. I was moving from out of state and starting a new chapter, and I’ve always had a giving heart. I wanted to be part of something meaningful that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.”

💬 What she loves most:
“I love hearing our clients’ life stories and stepping into their homes to learn about their experiences. I gain new perspectives every day, and it means a lot when someone welcomes you into their life like that.”

🌿 Fun fact:
“I absolutely love anything cow related, they’re my favorite animal! I also used to run my own business creating paper flowers.”

🚨 A little something you might not know:
Natosha previously worked as a 911 dispatcher.

She enjoys reading, crystal digging, paddle boarding, and playing video games in her free time.
