NOTICE OF VACANCY
Assistant High School Volleyball Coach
APPLICATION PERIOD:
May 7 – May 26, 2026, THEN OPEN UNTIL FILLED
DESCRIPTION OF THE CURRENT ASSIGNMENT:
Provide leadership, supervision, and organization of a specific interscholastic activity, teaching all aspects of the sport including fundamentals and strategies to individuals or groups. Provide assistance to the head coach.
DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES/PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
• take a genuine interest in every student participant by teaching core fundamentals and empowering the improvement of every student-athlete
• demonstrates a clear and consistent focus on creating continuity in the sport from level-to-level and year-to-year
• a willingness to timely communicate with student-athletes, parents, and others about the progress of the individual and team
• modeling and reinforcing professional conduct in adverse situations
• formulate decisions based on the school’s mission in relation to the student-athlete and team
• diligence in keeping current with all aspects of the sport, including requirements for coaching certification
• seeking to learn and grow as an advocate for student-athletes and the sport within the school’s mission
QUALIFICATIONS TO FILL THE CURRENT ASSIGNMENT:
• Pomeroy School District #110 is seeking to fill the current vacancy based upon the applicant’s abilities to meet criteria outlined in the Job Description.
COMPENSATION:
Placement on the Extra Curricular Salary Schedule beginning at $2627
