It’s been a busy and meaningful few weeks at Rocksprings!

We recently hosted a graduation celebration in our café and kitchen event space, welcomed a guest speaker from the Gallia County Beekeepers Association who spent time teaching our participants the basics of beekeeping, and officially opened the pool at our Airbnb for the season. 🐝🎓🏊

Our art class also brought plenty of creativity and laughter as participants spent time designing and painting custom Jenga blocks. It was a simple project, but one that sparked connection, self-expression, and a lot of fun.

One of our favorite moments came after the graduation celebration, when the beautiful flowers from the event found a second life brightening the day for residents at a local rehabilitation center. Small acts of kindness have a way of traveling farther than we realize.

Meanwhile, our participants have been hard at work creating trail signs and preparing our trail system for visitors. Every project represents hands-on learning, teamwork, and pride in building something that serves the community.

From learning new skills to caring for our campus and supporting one another, there is always something growing at Rocksprings.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Chris Blank from the Gallia County Beekeepers Association out to Rocksprings Wellness to teach the basics of beekeeping to our workforce associates and participants.

Chris spent time sharing his knowledge, answering questions, and introducing everyone to the incredible world of bees, hives, and pollination. Experiences like this mean so much to our community because they create opportunities for learning, connection, curiosity, and hands-on growth.

We’re incredibly grateful for people like Chris who are willing to share their time, passion, and expertise with others. Thank you for supporting our community and helping create meaningful experiences out here on the land. 🐝

We’re excited to finally begin sharing this next chapter of Rocksprings with the community.

Over the past several months, our workforce associates and staff have been pouring so much care into restoring, preparing, cleaning, organizing, landscaping, and learning the day-to-day pieces of hospitality and event management so these spaces can begin welcoming people in meaningful ways.

What makes this especially important to us is that this isn’t just about creating a venue. It’s about creating opportunities. Real experience. Real skills. Real community connection.

From weddings and retreats to workshops, concerts, wellness weekends, and gatherings, we’ve been intentionally building spaces that feel warm, grounded, and alive.

And soon, we’d love for the community to come see it all for themselves. We’re currently planning an upcoming open house where people can walk the property, explore the spaces, meet some of the people behind the work, and experience what Rocksprings is becoming.

This place has been built with a lot of heart, hard work, and belief in what’s possible. We’re excited to finally start opening the doors a little wider. 🤍

There’s something about this land that refuses to let you forget you’re part of something living.

Every trail holds movement. Every tree feels like it’s keeping secrets. The creeks hum with life. Even the quiet here feels awake.

Out here, nature isn’t something distant to look at. It moves beside you. Watches you back. Reminds you that the world is still wild, still breathing, still beautifully alive.

We’re just grateful to exist alongside it for a little while.

We just set up our first bee box at Rocksprings. 🐝

There’s something deeply aligned about beekeeping and the kind of community we’re trying to build here.

And honestly… bees just feel like they belong here.

This spring, we’re beginning to integrate beekeeping into our workforce and wellness programming on the land. Not just to learn a skill, but to reconnect with process, responsibility, nature, and each other.

Bees are incredible teachers. They remind us that healing, growth, and sustainability happen through community. Through everyone carrying a role. Through care and consistency. Through working with the environment instead of against it.

The dream at Rocksprings has always been bigger than services. It’s about creating meaningful experiences, hands-on learning, and spaces where people can reconnect to themselves, to purpose, and to the world around them.

Excited to see what grows from here. 🌿

You don't have to earn rest. You don't have to justify stillness. Spring is a season of new beginnings — and sometimes the most powerful new beginning is simply deciding to be a little kinder to yourself.
Whatever this week asked of you, you showed up. That matters.

Today, we honor all the ways people nurture, protect, guide, and love. 💛

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms, grandmothers, chosen family, caregivers, single parents, two parent families, dads carrying nurturing roles, trans parents, non-binary parents, foster parents, adoptive parents, and every person showing up with deep care for others every day.

We also hold space for the people carrying grief, longing, complexity, or mixed emotions today. For those missing loved ones, navigating infertility, loss, estrangement, reunification, or complicated family dynamics. For those who deeply wanted children, those who chose a different path, and those who mother and nurture in ways that may never fully be seen by the world.

At Rocksprings, we believe love, care, and family exist in many forms. There is no one way to nurture, no one way to belong, and no one story that defines what family looks like.

However today finds you, we hope you move gently with yourself and know there is space for your story here too. 🌿
