Here’s a familiar face from CPP history! 👀
On September 24, 1993, CPP alumna Hilda Solis served as the keynote speaker for the Unity of Colors Luncheon. The event was hosted by Cal Poly’s Asian Pacific, Black, and Latino staff, faculty, and student associations. 🤝🌎
Solis would later go on to serve as U.S. Secretary of Labor and currently serves on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
Talk about a Bronco making history! 🐎✨

This photo from September 19, 1989 features, from left to right, University President Hugh La Bounty, University Library Director Harold Schleifer, and architect Henry Wright posing with a plaque commemorating an expansion of the University Library. 🏗️
That expansion added the 5th and 6th floors to the building! 🤯
