California survivors are facing a critical moment.

The May Revise allocates $25 million for victims' services — $75 million less than what is needed to sustain the programs communities depend on after violent crime: emergency housing, mental health counseling, domestic violence shelter, sexual assault and more.

We are joining the call on Governor Gavin Newsom to fund the full $100 million in the final state budget.

A balanced budget on the backs of victims of crime doesn't solve a budget crisis. It creates a human one.

Survivors of crime need $100 million in state funds to support the life-saving services they depend on to heal after violent crimes. While we appreciate Governor Gavin Newsom including $25 million toward these services, being short $75 million means devastating cuts to emergency housing, mental health counseling, and more.
Gavin Newsom, join the Senate, Assembly, and Legislative Women's Caucus, and include the full $100 million in the final budget to support survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, child abuse, and more.

April may be behind us, but the impact of Together in Teal: Step Up for Survivors will stay with us long after the last step was taken. 💙

We're so grateful for everyone who laced up, showed up, and walked alongside us in honor of survivors this Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Every stride was a reminder that this community shows up — and shows out.

Though the calendar has turned to May, the awareness, the healing, and the advocacy we carry forward never stops. Thank you for being part of this walk, this movement, and this mission. 💚
