The City’s mass meter changeout program is now underway.

As crews begin moving through neighborhoods, residents will receive advance notice by mail and/or direct delivery.

Harbor Village Residents: Wastewater Collection / Sanitary Sewer System Cleaning Notice

The City’s Utilities Department has scheduled sanitary sewer system cleaning in portions of Harbor Village through September 3.

Notices with scheduling information have been hand-delivered to residents in the affected areas.

I ran because I believed residents deserved someone willing to ask questions, do the homework, and speak up when something didn’t seem right.

That hasn’t always made the job easy.

But I didn’t run to do what was easy.

I ran to represent you.

One of the topics I mentioned during today's Commission meeting was a formal filing I submitted earlier this year to the Broward County Supervisor of Elections.

Earlier this year, I submitted an Incident Review Request regarding City "Charter Information Boards" that were displayed inside two Pompano Beach early voting locations during the 2024 election.

The filing doesn't ask anyone to agree with a particular ballot measure or political position.

It asks a much simpler question:

Were the rules governing our polling places followed?

The packet includes photographs, public records, correspondence, and the documentation supporting why I believed an independent review was appropriate.

No matter your political views, I think we should all agree on one thing: residents deserve confidence that our elections are conducted fairly, consistently, and according to the law.

That's why I filed it.

Yesterday I left the CRA Board meeting during the FY2027 budget discussion. Vice Mayor Fournier and Commissioner Perkins also left, but each of us made that decision on our own. My Public Statement, in full, is below.

I have also filed a formal Statement for the Record with the City Clerk documenting the timeline of the meeting minute-by-minute.

🚧 McNab Bridge Construction Update

Beginning Tuesday, July 21, the contractor will temporarily close boat traffic under the McNab Bridge for approximately 10 days to complete critical bridge construction activities.

🚤 What this means:
• No vessels will be able to pass under the bridge during the closure.
• The temporary closure is necessary to safely complete the next phase of construction.
• Please plan ahead and make alternate arrangements if your boating plans are impacted.

I know this is an inconvenience for many of our boating community, but this work is an important step toward completing the new bridge and improving this critical connection for our community.

I’ll continue sharing updates as they’re provided so everyone has the latest information.

UPDATE: McNab Road Bridge Closure 🚧

The next phase of construction begins April 13, 2026, with a full bridge closure for demolition and reconstruction.

The South Florida Water Management District has approved a revised construction approach that will keep the bridge open to marine traffic throughout the project.
While the waterway will remain accessible at all times, navigation will be limited to a single lane to safely accommodate construction activities.

This timeline helps reduce impacts during the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. The bridge is expected to reopen on October 1, 2026.
