Last night, while walking the neighborhood and talking with residents, I stopped at one of District 1’s true hidden gems — Indian Mound Park.
Few people realize this park is home to the only surviving Native American burial mound in Broward County, built centuries ago by the Tequesta Tribe.

It’s a powerful reminder of the rich history we must protect as our city grows. From our beaches and waterways to our historic landmarks and neighborhoods, these special places are what make Pompano Beach unique.

I love these walks because they give me the chance to hear directly from you — your concerns, your ideas, and what matters most for our community. As we move forward, I’m committed to responsible growth that preserves our character and quality of life.

If you’d like to continue the conversation, please join me tonight at my Meet & Greet at Stingers Bar & Grill at 5:30 PM. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Pompano Beach City Commission Meeting Today!

The City Commission meets today, June 9th, at 1:00 PM at City Hall, and I encourage residents to stay informed and get involved.

A few items on today’s agenda include:

✅ A proposed three-year labor agreement with our firefighters
✅ Water well rehabilitation and maintenance contracts that support our drinking water infrastructure
✅ An internal audit report covering completed and ongoing City audits
✅ Public comment opportunities for residents to share concerns and ideas

Whether you agree or disagree with decisions being made, staying informed is one of the most important ways we can shape the future of our community.

Good government starts with engaged residents.

📍 Pompano Beach City Hall
🕐 1:00 PM

If you’re able to attend, I’d love to chat with you before the meeting and hear what’s on your mind.

Can’t make it today? Watch the meeting on YouTube and let me know your thoughts afterward. I always appreciate hearing directly from residents.

I’ll continue following the issues that impact District 1 and keeping residents informed.

📣 District 1 Neighbors, I hope you’ll join me this Thursday evening for another Real Talk Meet & Greet at Stingers Bar & Grill! Real Talk at Stinger’s Bar and Grill

These events are one of my favorite parts of the campaign because they give us the opportunity to have real conversations about the issues that matter most to our community. I want to hear your thoughts, answer your questions, and discuss how we can continue moving Pompano Beach forward.

We’ll talk about the topics residents care about most…protecting our quality of life, supporting local businesses, maintaining low taxes, improving infrastructure, and ensuring continued prosperity for our community.

📅 Thursday, June 11
🕠 5:30 PM
📍 Stingers Bar & Grill
1201 S Ocean Blvd, Pompano Beach

Whether we’ve met before or this will be our first conversation, I’d love the opportunity to connect with you.

Remember, the best decisions are made when residents have a seat at the table.

I hope to see you there!

Sunday Funday in Pompano Beach! ☀️🚗🌴

Yesterday, Greg, Pepper, and I spent the day doing one of our favorite things…zipping around our beautiful city on the golf cart and enjoying everything that makes Pompano Beach such a special place to call home.

From our neighborhoods to our local businesses, there’s always something happening and always someone to say hello to along the way. We wrapped up the day at South Bar & kitchen where the DJ had the music going, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the place was full of great energy. South Bar & Kitchen

And of course, Pepper was living her best life. 🐾 She loves nothing more than tagging along with us, meeting new friends, and riding around town in the golf cart.

Days like these are a great reminder of why we love this community so much. The people, the businesses, the waterfront, and the quality of life we enjoy here are truly special.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Back at BrewFish tonight! 🐟🌴

After hearing from residents about the challenges local businesses are facing during the bridge construction, we wanted to come back and show our support.

The owners and staff at BrewFish work incredibly hard every day, and like many small businesses in our community, they are navigating circumstances beyond their control while continuing to provide great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Our local businesses are part of what makes Pompano Beach special. They create jobs, support local families, and help maintain the quality of life we all enjoy. That’s why it’s so important that we continue to show up for them.

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy lunch, dinner, or a beautiful waterfront view, I encourage you to visit BrewFish and support a local business. BrewFish Bar & Grill

Small actions make a big difference.

Together, we can help ensure our local businesses continue to thrive and contribute to the continued prosperity of our community.

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the 2025-2026 Artists in Residence Vernissage at the Bailey Contemporary Arts Center (BaCA), and it was an incredible evening celebrating creativity, talent, and culture in our community.

Congratulations to all of the talented artists whose work was featured. The passion, vision, and dedication on display were truly inspiring. Events like this remind us that the arts enrich our lives, bring people together, and help tell the unique story of our community.

The arts are an important part of what makes Pompano Beach such a vibrant place to live, work, and visit. They support local artists, strengthen our economy, enhance our quality of life, and create opportunities for residents and visitors to connect through creativity.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this wonderful event possible, and congratulations again to the artists for sharing their remarkable work with our community.

🎨✨ Proud to support the arts in Pompano Beach!

Tonight Greg and I stopped by Steakhouse to support one of our local businesses along the McNab Road corridor.

While the bridge and road improvements will bring long-term benefits to our community, we can’t forget about the local businesses that are working hard every day while construction is happening right outside their doors. Many of these business owners have invested their life savings, countless hours, and years of hard work into serving our community.

The reality is that construction impacts traffic, visibility, and customer flow. That’s why now, more than ever, we need to show up for the businesses that have always shown up for us.

I encourage everyone to visit RGS Steakhouse and support the restaurants, shops, and small businesses along McNab Road. Every meal purchased, every visit, and every dollar spent locally helps keep our community strong.

Supporting local businesses means supporting local jobs, local families, and the continued prosperity and quality of life that make Pompano Beach such a wonderful place to call home.

Let’s continue showing up for our small businesses. They need us now more than ever.
