Last night, while walking the neighborhood and talking with residents, I stopped at one of District 1’s true hidden gems — Indian Mound Park.
Few people realize this park is home to the only surviving Native American burial mound in Broward County, built centuries ago by the Tequesta Tribe.
It’s a powerful reminder of the rich history we must protect as our city grows. From our beaches and waterways to our historic landmarks and neighborhoods, these special places are what make Pompano Beach unique.
I love these walks because they give me the chance to hear directly from you — your concerns, your ideas, and what matters most for our community. As we move forward, I’m committed to responsible growth that preserves our character and quality of life.
If you’d like to continue the conversation, please join me tonight at my Meet & Greet at Stingers Bar & Grill at 5:30 PM. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
