United is the Way. β€οΈπŸ“¬

This Saturday, May 9, letter carriers across North Central Oklahoma will do more than deliver mail. They will help deliver hope.

The annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers, is the nation’s largest single-day food drive. You can help by placing a sturdy bag of non-perishable food items next to your mailbox before regular mail delivery on Saturday.

Suggested donations include:
πŸ₯« Canned soup and vegetables
πŸ₯œ Peanut butter
🍝 Pasta and rice
πŸ₯£ Cereal
🐟 Canned meats and fish

Your local letter carrier will collect the donations, and United Way of North Central Oklahoma will work with volunteers and community partners to help distribute food to local agencies serving families in need.

Participating agencies include:
β€’ New Emergency Resource Agency
β€’ Peachtree Landing
β€’ Survivor Resource Network
β€’ Friendship Feast
β€’ First Lutheran Church
β€’ The Blessing Boxes
β€’ The Mission
β€’ Local Community food banks.

Every donation makes a difference for neighbors facing hunger in our communities.

For more information, contact United Way of North Central Oklahoma at 580-765-2476.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month πŸ’š

At RSVP, we see every day how connection supports mental health.

A phone call. A visit. A moment of listening. These small acts can make a big difference, especially for older adults who may be experiencing loneliness or isolation.

Our volunteers are not just giving their time. They are building relationships, lifting spirits, and reminding others they are not alone.

If you are looking for a way to make an impact, this is it.

United is the way.

Together, we are creating a stronger, more connected community.
