We spent the past few days picking up signs from the campaign. I would like to ask everyone that had a sign and if I have forgot to pull your yard sign can you please send me a message and I will get it as quick as possible. If you have already pulled it and want to keep it or get rid of it , that would be fine as well. Thanks again for all the support and allowing me to put a sign in your yard. Steve.

After the recount today, state election board certified me as the next Kay County Sheriff. This past few months has been very busy, informative, very good experience and I have learned alot from speaking to the citizens of Kay County. I can appreciate Tom Burgs decision to file for the recount. He has worked very long and hard for what he believes in and I cannot deny that I wouldn't have done the same thing. I am looking forward to working with all the citizens of this great county and all law enforcement. I will work very hard for all the people. Thank you to all that supported me through out this campaign. This position means more then anyone can image to me and my family. We will be around this weekend to get the signs. Once again THANK YOU.

Update on election. Tom Burg has elected to file a petition for Manuel recount of ballots due to the percentage I recieved not to go to a runoff election. Recount will be done on Wednesday July 6th. I respectfully request that the camapign signs I have posted stay in place until the recount has been completed. If not I fully understand, just contact me and I will come get the sign. Iam sorry for the inconvenience, however Mr. Burg has this right by law and I have to respect that wish. Thank you all for your support, Steve Kelley.

When election day finally came, I was so excitied, super nervous, but very ready to see what the citizens of kay county had decided. When we receive over 50% this was a huge weight lifted off me and my family. I could not be more proud of the citizens of kay county for the voter turnout, all of the forums they attended and for putting up with all the signs. Iam looking forward to serving as your Sheriff for many years and working alonside everyone to keep this county safe. Huge thank you to all that helped with the campaign, there was so many. I want to thank Sheriff Everette Vanhoesen for the opportunity he gave me to serve as Undersheriff. I learned a great deal from this man, and he will always be a good friend to me. He believed in me and iam very thankful. Thank you to all the messages on facebook and text messages for the words of encouragement and congratulations through out the day. I would also like to congratulate Tom Burg and Brian Herbert for a well run campaign and look forward to working with both of you in the future. Once again thank you very much. Steve Kelley

I was extremely pleased by the attendance at the Ponca City forum last Friday. Truly honored to be apart of a very important election. I have the proven drive, experience and leadership it takes to be your next Kay County Sheriff. I will serve the citizens with respect and integrity that we all deserve. I want to be your Sheriff for the next several terms, my plan moving forward is not just a 4 year plan, but for many years into the future. I Respectfully ask for your vote this Tuesday, June 28th. Remind all family, friends and co-workers the time is almost here. June 28th, 2016. I respectfully ask for your consideration and support to be your next Kay County Sheriff. Early voting at the Kay County Courthouse starts tommorrow June 23rd, 8am to 6pm, June 24th, 8am to 6pm and Saturday June 25th, 9am to 2pm. Finally Primary voting at your local precincts Tuesday, June 28th 8am to 7pm. If anyone needs assistance getting to your polling place, contact me and I will arrange transportation.
