Our Drug Recognition Experts spent yesterday at OSBI Headquarters where they learned all the things about introductory toxicology. Drug Recognition Experts are primarily utilized for DUI offenses when drugs (both legal and illegal) are believed to be the primary cause of driver impairment. This is extremely valuable training and we’d like to thank OSBI for their continued partnership and willingness to train and operate with our officers. Pictured are Sergeant Eric Welch, Sergeant Trey Thompson and Corporal Buddy Shahan.

Again, the Ponca City Police Department does not own, rent, possess or operate any FLOCK cameras or other brand of LPR Cameras. There are multiple other law enforcement agencies and entities that operate in this area and within our jurisdiction. In most cases, they do not need the permission of the Ponca City Police Department or the City of Ponca City to place cameras on state highways or state highway intersections. If you have questions about the ownership or operation of these cameras, you are free to reach out to other agencies for inquiries.

We’d like to take a moment to thank the Officers who patrolled Grand Ave. this evening while the rest of us got to partake in the festivities. They’re always there, rain or shine, and we simply could not do these events safely without them. This isn’t all of them but, they know who they are.

Pictured below are (from left to right): Officer Montana Mann, Sergeant Dillon Pruitt, Corporal Mason McCormick, Corporal Jesse Moore and Corporal Amy King.

Our Social Media Bureau, Graphic Design Unit and Microsoft Paint Squad present you with another amazing piece of original artwork. That's right, folks. No use of AI.

This one-of-a-kind piece has enriched tones of earthen ochre and hints of rich mahogany that really highlight the artist's ability to capture realism, while still managing to create a work that allows the viewer to use their imagination. When you view this piece, permit yourself to escape to a place of relaxation and solitude, as you marinate in the wonder of children laughing and the sweet taste of candy, all while a gentle fall breeze blows across your brow.

Come see us at Goblins on Grand tonight. A select few members from these specialized units will be on hand to help brighten your day. Also, we want to see all the costumes!
