🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT FOR TANGIPAHOA PARISH 🔥
🚨 Effective immediately, Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller has issued a parish-wide burn ban due to extremely dry conditions and at the request of the parish’s local fire chiefs.
“After talking with the fire chiefs and upon review of the local forecast, we agree that a burn ban is appropriate at this time,” Miller said.
🔥 What does this mean?
The burn ban includes all open residential and commercial burning and will remain in effect until rescinded.
🍔 What IS allowed?
The ban does not include:
• Bar-B-Que pits
• Grills
• Fire pits
However, if you choose to use these items, please use extreme caution and keep a close eye on any fire.
⚠️ With conditions extremely dry, fires can spread quickly and become difficult to control. Help us protect our homes, families, property, and first responders by avoiding all unnecessary outdoor burning.
📞 When in doubt, don’t burn!
Please share this information with your friends, family, and neighbors. 🚒❤️
