After weeks of recent rain events and challenging conditions, we want to recognize and thank our incredible Public Works team for their hard work and dedication to repairing a recent water main break.
These employees worked long hours, responded quickly, and worked together as a team to ensure services were restored safely and efficiently for our residents. Their commitment to keeping our infrastructure running — even in difficult weather conditions — does not go unnoticed.
Please join us in thanking our Public Works staff for everything they do for our community each and every day. We truly appreciate your hard work, professionalism, and dedication to the Town of Ponder!

Dear Residents,

A few weeks ago, the Town of Ponder received a report from a resident on January Lane regarding cloudy tap water and visible sediment. After investigating, our Public Works team determined that the issue was limited to a small area but had the potential to spread if left unaddressed.

In response, the Town has taken proactive steps to correct the issue and protect the overall quality of our water system. We are currently in the process of upgrading portions of our water infrastructure with improved technology. These upgrades are designed to provide more reliable service and better water quality for the entire community moving forward.

During this transition period, you may notice occasional changes such as temporary drops in water pressure or minor discoloration. For example, there was a brief decrease in water pressure earlier today; however, water service remained available throughout that time. Our team has performed all required testing, and the system continues to meet all regulatory standards set by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

We understand how important clean and reliable water is, and our staff is actively monitoring the system to ensure everything returns to normal as quickly as possible.

If you continue to experience any water quality or pressure concerns, please contact Town Hall at 940-479-2396 so we can assist you directly.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete these important improvements.

Sincerely,
Town of Ponder
