0430 Sunday morning, it's 12 degrees. Alright Alright! Denton County. We got an additional 2 1/2 inches of sleet last night, maybe more in some places. Driving from north Denton to Ponder this morning at 0430 the roads are somewhat passable, no faster than 30mph. The roadways are forming hard grooves in them, which pitches your vehicle around a little bit. This is causing a lot of vehicles to slide off the road. At about 30mph you should be able to control what it does to your car. Cobblestone ice is starting to form on the roadways, US Hwy 380 West, FM 156, FM 1173, FM 2449. We have another around of precipitation headed our way, which should be snow instead of sleet. This will probably assist in forming the cobblestone ice, Sunday night into Monday. On the roads now you are able to get a little traction and go about 30 -35 safely on the big roads. This will change tonight, however. Driving is doable but not recommended. Once again, is where you need to go worth the cost of your auto insurance deductible? TXDOT has been doing a good job with sanding ice.

Y'all be sure to check on your neighbors.

Lot a frozen precipitation on the roads and more to come through Sunday.
