Last night, we hosted an outstanding training session with Vehicle Response Training (VRT) focused on electric vehicle (EV) safety. We were pleased to be joined by our partners from the Park Rapids Department and Ogema Fire Department. As EVs become more common in our communities, this collaborative training ensures our regional responders are prepared for the unique challenges these vehicles present.

Carsonville Fire & Rescue braved the chilly Wednesday evening for their annual cold water rescue training. This hands-on exercise sharpens the team’s skills for responding to cold water emergencies and other water rescue situations. With spring around the corner and ice beginning to weaken, remember— ice is never completely safe. Stay alert, stay smart, and stay safe on and around the water.
