Repairs were made to the tornado siren system today and we will be conducting additional siren testing at 3:00pm today. This testing will be in limited areas throughout our jurisdiction. We are working with local departments in those areas to confirm activation.

It was an honor to attend last night's Streator City Council meeting. Congratulations to all of the individuals recognized. I would like to extend a special thank you to Streator Fire for including TC Tilley for her baby delivery on November 1, 2025.

VCOM was notified by Verizon that service interruptions are possible in our area, linked to the nationwide outage issues. The notification advised that technicians are working to resolve the trouble but there is not an estimated time for repair. Thank you.
