Christian Community Response Team - CCRT

Christian Community Response Team - CCRT Our nonprofit, formerly known as Catholic Community Response Team, is now Christian Community Response Team!

This new name reflects the broader Christian support behind our mission to provide emergency housing and essential assistance to those in need. CCRT was founded in 2004 to provide direct support and referral services for those in crisis needing emergency assistance to meet their basic needs living in the City of Pontiac. We also work to build a permanent bridge between 2 populations who live in cl

ose proximity, but whose life experiences are worlds apart: those in crisis with urgent, unmet needs (primarily in the Pontiac area), and volunteers wanting to live out their faith through the works of charity and justice. MISSION- Provide a Christian compassionate response to those in need primarily within, but not limited to, the City of Pontiac. Provide intake services & assessments based on client needs to build relationships in order to overcome small hurdles which hinder self-sustainability. Coordinate our efforts with other community agencies and providers to make the best use of available resources and to provide appropriate referrals to broaden the scope of our response.

Last night, CCRT hosted a wonderful Getting Ahead Alumni Networking Event in their Getting Ahead Classroom!

An evening of fellowship brought together thirty graduates to share a delicious meal, engage in meaningful conversation, and reconnect with one another.

We were honored to have a special presentation by our own CCRT Chairwoman and Director of the Pontiac Promise Zone, Coco Moulder, who spoke on the important topic of "The Impact of Trauma." Her insights sparked thoughtful discussion and encouraged continued growth and resilience. Coco also provided each attendee with a self-care booklet filled with helpful resources and tools to support personal well-being and continued growth.

We are incredibly proud of our Getting Ahead graduates and all they have accomplished since graduation day. Your determination, hard work, and commitment to building a brighter future continue to inspire us all.

Barbara Williams, Executive Director, encouraged everyone to continue moving forward and never stop pursuing their goals.

Special Thank you to:
Rev. Edwin Estevez, Senior Pastor of Kirk in the Hills for leading the group in prayer and blessing us with his presence.
Debbie, G.A. Facilitator & Terry, G.A. Coordinator for your commitment and care for the program.

Happy Motherโ€™s Day from all of us at CCRT!

Today we give thanks to God for the gift of mothers women of faith, strength, and unconditional love. Your nurturing hearts reflect Godโ€™s grace, and your sacrifices are a true blessing to your families and our community.

May God bless you abundantly today and always with peace, joy, and renewed strength. And remember our mothers who have passed, holding them close in our hearts and asking God to embrace them in His eternal peace.
