Check out the new business in Pontiac: The Cup and the Scone. The Cup and the Scone was approved for a $5,000 Building Improvement Grant from the GLCEDC to improve the interior of their building. To find out more click the article below.

After months of planning and preparation, business owners Scott and Jennifer Cranford and co-owner Marty Fannin opened The Cup and The Scone coffee house, located at 213 W. Madison St., on Feb. 9.

The GLCEDC Executive Committee elected its Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Treasurer. The newly elected officers left to right are: Jon Kilgore (Pontiac Township High School District #90), Brad Solberg (OSF Saint James - John W. Albrecht Medical Center), and Roger Corrigan (State Bank of Graymont).

The GLCEDC approved a $60,000 grant for the Pontiac School District #429 STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) program. District #429 will use the funds for professional development training and to purchase equipment for STEAM labs.
