Sixth Judicial Circuit Court Hosts Jury Sticker Contest

Oakland County, MI (Friday, February 27, 2026) – In Celebration of America’s 250th year of Independence, the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court leans into “Liberty and Justice for All” by hosting a jury sticker contest for Oakland County Schools students in grades K-12.
The contest is open to all students in grades K-12 who live in or attend school in Oakland County. This includes public, private, and home-schooled students. Permission from a parent or guardian is required for all students under the age of 18 entering the contest. One submission per student. Designs must be completed using the official entry form. Contest rules and entry form are available on the court’s website below:

March 2nd - April 10th - Juror Sticker Contest The Circuit Court is hosting a contest for grades K-12 to design a sticker for jurors in Oakland County celebrating "Liberty and Justice for All". Please see the official rules and entry form to participate.

Due to inclement weather, the Oakland County Circuit and Probate Courts will be closed today, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm. As for tomorrow, Thursday, February 23, 2023, we will be opened or closed consistent with the county. The county will decide some time tonight and post that decision to the county’s website by 6:00 a.m. The link is www.oakgov.com. If you have a hearing scheduled for tomorrow, please contact the assigned judges’ chambers for an update on your hearing.

Please note that Oakland County, Michigan Government Offices, including the Circuit & Probate Courts, will be closed June 20th in observance of the June 19th holiday.

The Oakland County Circuit and Probate Courts have adjourned all jury trials through Friday, February 25, 2022, due to surging Covid numbers throughout Oakland County.

This decision was made after consulting with the State Court Administrative Office and the Oakland County Health Department.

Jury trials are expected to resume on Monday, February 28th, barring any unforeseen circumstances. Questions about specific adjournment dates should be directed to the chambers of the assigned judge.

In accordance with public health recommendations a mask requirement is in effect for the Oakland County Circuit and Probate Courts. Visitors and staff are asked to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. The Oakland County COVID-19 risk for transmission is currently set as substantial.
