June is Men’s Health Month 💙
It’s a reminder for men to take charge of their health—and for all of us to encourage the men in our lives to prioritize their well-being. Preventive care, screenings, and healthy habits can make a life-saving difference.
At LCHD, we’re here to support men at every stage of life with services such as:
✅ Wellness Clinics – New expanded lab services
✅ Immunizations
✅ STI testing and prevention services
✅ To***co cessation support
✅ Health physicals W/ STI testing
Taking care of your health doesn’t have to be complicated—small steps today can lead to healthier tomorrows.
📅 This month, make it a goal to schedule a check-up, get screened, or simply start a conversation about health. Have questions or want to learn more about our services? Contact LCHD—we’re here to help! 815-844-7174

As we close out this month, it’s important to remember that healing is about so much more than simply reducing symptoms. True recovery means building a life that feels stable, connected, and meaningful. It’s having a safe place to call home, relationships that support and uplift you, and the tools and confidence to keep moving forward—even on the hard days. That’s the heart of whole-person care: recognizing that mental health and substance use recovery touches every part of a person’s life. When all those pieces come together, healing becomes sustainable—and hope becomes real.
Here’s to every step taken this month, big or small. 💙

This Memorial Day, The Livingston County Health Department honors and remembers the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and selflessness have protected the freedoms we hold dear every day.
As we spend time with loved ones and enjoy the start of summer, we pause to reflect on the true meaning of this day—and to express our deepest gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
We also extend our appreciation to the families who have carried the weight of that sacrifice. Your strength and resilience will never be forgotten.
Today, and every day, we remember. ❤️🤍💙

We are closed tomorrow in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen Tuesday May 26th at 7am.

Your septic system works hard every day—help it last longer with these simple tips:
✅ Keep it protected, get it inspected – Schedule a professional pump every 3–5 years (or as recommended).
✅ Don't strain the drain – Spread out laundry and fix leaks to prevent overload.
✅ Think at the sink– Harsh cleaners can disrupt the natural bacteria your system needs.
✅ Don't overload the commode– Only flush toilet paper. Avoid wipes, paper towels, feminine products, and grease.
✅ Shield your field – Keep vehicles, heavy equipment, and deep-rooted trees away.

🚨 A little maintenance goes a long way in preventing costly repairs!
👉 Save this post for later and keep your septic system running smoothly
