Back out to the scene of yesterday's fire this morning to quench a few hot spots that had folks nervous.
Mostly just smoldering logs well inside the burned area.
We doused those and enlarged the fire break between the burned area and the fuel .

Looking forward to the rain next week. 🤞🙏

Wildfire activity is increasing across Arkansas. In the past 24 hours, forestry crews have suppressed 47 fires totaling 2,099 acres. Crews remain engaged on 24 ongoing fires, including a fire near Plummerville (pictured).

North Arkansas is at high wildfire risk; the southern part of the state remains at moderate risk. Burn bans are in effect for several counties.
